Trust & safety

Buy and sell directly—with good judgment.

Direct connection gives buyers and sellers more control. It also means each person should take reasonable steps to verify the vehicle, the paperwork, the other party, and the payment process.

Before you meet

  • Review the complete listing, photos, seller comments, title status, and service records.
  • Ask specific questions and keep the conversation in the platform until you are comfortable.
  • Verify the VIN, ownership, title, lien status, and any inspection or history report.
  • Arrange an in-person inspection and an appropriate test drive before agreeing to buy.

Warning signs

  • Sending a deposit or full payment before seeing and verifying the vehicle.
  • Gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, overpayment requests, or rushed decisions.
  • Shipping arrangements or third-party payment instructions that you did not independently verify.
  • Sharing passwords, one-time codes, or sensitive financial information with another user.

What Drive & Ride Direct does—and does not do

We help people publish better information and connect directly. We do not guarantee a vehicle, seller, buyer, title, payment, inspection, or transaction outcome. Use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

Stop unwanted in-app messages

Use “Block in-app messages” in a conversation to stop new messages in both directions across your listings. Your conversation history is kept. Blocking does not stop phone calls, texts, email, or public listing views; use the controls in those services separately.
