Terms of use
Version 2026-10-19-v1 · October 19, 2026
Updated October 19: clarified that content is not necessarily reviewed before publication, moderation is not verification or endorsement, and legal removal and reporting obligations still apply. The Privacy Notice is unchanged.
Who operates this marketplace
- Drive & Ride Direct is operated by John Choi in Tustin, California, United States. Questions and notices can be sent to support@driveandridedirect.com.
- These terms cover your use of our accounts, listings, parts marketplace, and messaging tools. Our Privacy Notice explains how information is handled.
Accounts and age
- You must be at least 13 to create an account. Give an accurate age group and protect your login. Do not use another account to evade a restriction.
- Members ages 13–17 may create listings and use in-app messages themselves. Teen contact controls are in-app only. Involve a trusted adult before meeting anyone or exchanging money or property.
- An account does not give you legal authority to sell another person’s property, transfer a title, drive, borrow money, or enter a binding contract. Obtain any permission or adult participation required by law. Nothing here waives a minor’s statutory rights.
What we do—and do not do
- We provide a private-party listing and communication service. We are not a party to your sale, a dealer, an escrow provider, an insurer, or a lender. We do not collect vehicle purchase payments or take possession of items.
- We do not guarantee identity, ownership, condition, title, payment, availability, or transaction outcomes. Confirmed email addresses and seller-provided history are not verification of trustworthiness.
- Guides, specifications, writing suggestions, and payment calculations are general information, not individual legal, financial, tax, insurance, or mechanical advice. Check important facts independently.
Your listings and transactions
- List only lawful items you own or have authority to sell. This marketplace is for private owners, not dealer or broker inventory. Follow the additional parts rules shown when creating a parts listing.
- Describe the item accurately, including known material damage, title brands, liens, modifications, and safety issues. Check suggested specifications and AI-generated descriptions before publishing. Correct errors and mark unavailable items promptly.
- Use photos and text you have permission to publish. Do not post private documents, payment details, home or school addresses, or another person’s personal information.
- Buyers and sellers arrange inspection, payment, lawful transfer, taxes, registration, and insurance themselves. Never share verification codes, pay a buyer’s courier, or refund an overpayment. We do not insure transaction losses.
Prohibited content and conduct
- No scams, impersonation, stolen or counterfeit goods, illegal or unsafe prohibited items, misleading duplicate listings, spam, harassment, threats, coercion, doxxing, malware, or attempts to bypass access controls.
- Sexual imagery, nonconsensual intimate images, child sexual abuse material, and sexual solicitation are prohibited. Do not upload such material as evidence or forward it to support; identify the page or message instead.
Your content and our permissions
- You retain ownership of your content. You give us permission to store, format, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate the service and present your listing. This is not permission to sell your private messages or endorse unrelated products in your name.
- Public content may be indexed or copied by others. Taking it off our site cannot recall copies outside our control. Limited backup, security, dispute, or legally required records may remain.
Reports, restrictions, and review
- Listings, messages, photos, videos, and linked material are not necessarily reviewed before publication. Inaccurate, unlawful, or inappropriate material may appear before it is detected and restricted or removed. Do not assume that content is approved or safe because it appears on the service.
- Publication, automated checks, moderation, and a decision to leave content available are not verification or endorsement of a person, item, ownership, title, or claim. Independently check important information before meeting, paying, or transferring property.
- Use available reporting and blocking controls or email support@driveandridedirect.com. A report is an allegation, not proof. We may limit content or account activity while investigating safety concerns or complying with law.
- You may ask support to review a decision. Include the reference and explain the issue; do not send identity documents unless a specific, proportionate verification process has been arranged.
- Use the Contact page’s intimate-image removal instructions for urgent removal requests. No account is needed. Support is not an emergency service and we do not promise round-the-clock human monitoring. For immediate danger, contact emergency services.
- These moderation limitations do not waive our legal obligations, applicable removal or reporting deadlines, or rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. The length of time content is available does not by itself determine responsibility.
Availability, changes, and ending use
- The service may be interrupted, and user content may be inaccurate. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without warranties. Nothing excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- You can stop using the service and request account closure through support. We will identify revised policies by version and date, give notice of material changes, and request renewed acceptance where appropriate. Your transaction obligations to others are separate from account closure.
